If you are a first-time WooCommerce client, you would be looking for a reliable payment method. STRIPE Payment Gateway is one of the appropriate payment plugins for the store.

If you have a flexible API, Stripe would be suitable as it is popular and provides lower transactional fees. These are steps to integrate the STRIPE Payment Gateway into my WooCommerce Store.

How to Integrate the STRIPE Payment Gateway into My WooCommerce

Stripe is a method of payment with one of the fastest processing speeds. Their payment system is done on the platform and lets you stay on the checkout page during payment instead of redirecting you to another page.

Conducting the payment on the page leads to higher conversion rates, and it does not have hidden fees, monthly charges, or any fees. Moreover, Stripe offers services to more than 40 countries, making it a popular payment system.

The payment system also accepts credit and debit cards across all countries, supports more than 135 currencies, and accepts payment methods such as iDeal and Alipay.

Step By Step Store Setup

Register an account

You will create a Stripe account with details such as full name, email address, and password. The registration process is simple and takes a few minutes, and once done, you can access the Stripe dashboard.

Validate your email address and obtain a live API key for use during transactions. After the Stripe verification process, the system will redirect you back to the dashboard.

Look for integrated business

You should find the right integrated business which makes payment smooth, and you can obtain the API keys which activate the account. You would find the test keys on the Stripe developer’s full-screen page.

Again fill in information about the business and the address details and use the API in the plugin. You will enter the keys in the field test, publishable and secret key, which validates the account and toggle between the test and live data to use in the store.

Install the Stripe WooCommerce payment gateway

To use Stripe in your store, you will install the plugin on the WooCommerce store. On your WooCommerce store, you can install the Stripe store from the Plugins; click the add-new plugins and opt for the Stripe button. You will download the plugins and activate them on the site.

You may need to obtain the Webhook account by creating an account at the endpoint of the website. You can use Stripe CLI, which tests the created endpoint and then register the endpoint and use the key then provide Webhook.

Check out the page Stripe details

After installing the Stripe store, you can check the page details and check the option on the WooCommerce page. Finally, enter the card details and proceed to checkout.

Costs Involved

Building the stores can be costly. However, Stripe uses the pay-as-you-go services with a uniform rate and transactional-based fees. You will pay about 1.75% and 30 cents for each transaction to allow the online payment from Stripe.

Stripe is one of the cheapest Payment Gateways for your Woocommerce Store.

Enabling a Subscription Payment Mode

If you wish to use Stripe for most of your transactions on WooCommerce, you can opt for a subscription-based model. However, to enable this model, you will need a WooCommerce subscription plugin from the extension store.

You can enable both the manual and renewal payment after completing the WooCommerce and Stripe subscription integration. The site lest you upgrade and downgrade between one plan and another.

You will need a subscription product; thus, head to the products button and click the add-new button. You will incorporate a product title and description and choose the monthly or yearly subscription. You will find this information on the product data dropdown, choose the subscription plan and select your preferred payment plan.

You could determine when the subscription expires and choose a sign-up fee, a free trial period, and an affordable sale price. Again add a product image that goes with the choose subscription and which describes the products well. Finally, view and manage the subscription details on the WooCommerce website.
